Habibul Bashar is all set for a move to the BPL technical committee, which is why he is stepping away from his role at Chattogram Royals. Sources suggest this shift in responsibility led him to leave the Chattogram camp before the tournament has even started. However, Chattogram Royals have not officially declared yet that Habibul Bashar will be stepping down.
Six franchises will take part in the upcoming 12th edition of the BPL. Among them, Chattogram Royals have come under new ownership. The franchise had recently announced Bashar as their manager and mentor.
Meanwhile, Mominul Haque will serve as the team’s head coach. The coaching panel also includes Nazmul Hossain Milon and Ashraful Islam Zico.
Other franchises are also finalising their squads and staff at the last moment. Their coaching line-ups are now confirmed. In the Rangpur Riders coaching staff, Mickey Arthur is the head coach, Mohammad Ashraful is the assistant coach, Shahriar Nafees is the batting coach, and Mohammad Rafique is the spin bowling coach.
For Rajshahi Warriors, Hannan Sarkar will act as head coach. Toby Redford is the coach of Dhaka Capitals. Sohel Islam is the head coach of Sylhet Titans, while Khaled Mahmud Sujon is in charge of Noakhali Express
