A total of 194,569 expatriate Bangladeshi voters from various countries have registered through the “Postal Vote BD” app to vote in the 13th National Parliament Election and the referendum.
The information comes from the postal voting update published on the Election Commission (EC) website as of Saturday at 3:06pm.
According to the website, among those who have registered through the “Postal Vote BD” app so far, 175,621 are men and 18,998 are women. Another 352 applications are awaiting approval.
By country, 38,376 expatriate voters from Saudi Arabia and 19,275 from the United States have registered.
The Election Commission (EC) has extended the registration period for expatriate voters through the “Postal Vote BD” app until 25 December.
Earlier, the registration process through the app was kept open for all countries until 11:59pm on 18 December.
The Election Commission (EC) has requested expatriate Bangladeshis to provide accurate addresses while registering through the Postal Vote BD app.
