Bollywood actress and singer Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, known for her role in ‘Jawan’, has tied the knot with Ahmedabad-based music director Rag Sethi in a regal ceremony in Udaipur, India.
The wedding was an intimate affair, celebrated with close friends and family in a traditional palace setting.
For the occasion, Sanjeeta embraced her Bangladeshi heritage with a red Banarasi saree paired with a strapless blouse. Her look was accentuated with a shola crown and subtle sandalwood adornments on her forehead, blending classic tradition with contemporary elegance. The couple exchanged malas in a heartfelt ceremony, marking the start of their married life.
The celebrations extended over several days, with festive mehedi and music ceremonies. Cast members from Jawan, including Sania Malhotra, joined in the pre-wedding festivities, dancing with the bride to the hit track Zinda Banda, creating a buzz among fans on social media.
Sanjeeta and Rag Sethi’s relationship began professionally, blossomed into friendship, and eventually love. The couple got engaged on August 10, with Sanjeeta sharing glimpses of the engagement on social platforms. Rag’s proposal last year in Udaipur set the stage for their royal wedding.
Born and raised in Delhi, Sanjeeta draws strongly from her Bengali roots. Her father hails from Kolkata while her mother is from Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
She proudly identifies as an expatriate Bengali, embracing her linguistic and cultural heritage even while living abroad.
