Veteran Dhallywood actress Babita has expressed her willingness to return to the big screen alongside superstar Shakib Khan, but only if she is offered a meaningful story and a challenging role.
The two actors have previously shared the screen in several commercially successful films, including Ma Amar Swargo, Khodar Pore Ma and Mayer Jihad, all of which enjoyed strong box-office success.
Bobita recently appeared on a special television programme celebrating her birthday, where Shakib Khan joined virtually from the United States.
During their conversation, the actor wished her a happy birthday before urging her to make a comeback to films.
“Please do films. It’s my humble request to you. I want to work with you again,” Shakib said.
Responding to the request, Babita revealed that she has stayed away from acting because she has not come across stories or characters that inspired her.
However, she promised to return if the right project came along.
“Bring me a story where both you and I have meaningful parts to play—roles that are challenging and worth doing. If you do that, I will return. I promise I’ll work with you in a film,” Babita said.
The legendary actress also praised Shakib Khan’s professionalism, dedication to his craft and his recent body of work, commending his continued contribution to the Bangladeshi film industry.
