The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain in all eight divisions in the 24 hours from 9am Tuesday.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
A few places in Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions may also experience rain or thundershowers, with moderately heavy to heavy rainfall likely in some areas across the country.
Meanwhile, river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 1.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide, the Met office added.
