US actress Selma Blair, known for Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions, has been charged with assault following an alleged incident aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York, reports BBC.
Authorities said two flight attendants were injured during the incident, with one taken to hospital.
Blair was also accused of kicking a police officer in an ambulance and assaulting a nurse at a hospital. She has pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault.
Blair’s publicist said a medical emergency led to the alleged behaviour and confirmed that the actress was in stable condition after receiving treatment.
A separate federal case concerns the alleged incident aboard the aircraft.
Blair, who revealed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018, previously faced controversy over an in-flight outburst in 2016, which she attributed to accidentally mixing medication with alcohol.
The latest allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
