West Indies have handed 23-year-old Kevin Wickham his maiden Test call-up for the upcoming two-match series against Bangladesh, which begins on October 28 in Mirpur.
Wickham earned his place in the 15-member squad after an impressive run in domestic cricket. The young batter scored three consecutive centuries in the 2026 West Indies Championship.
Meanwhile, West Indies have rested Shai Hope following a busy period across all three formats. The white-ball captain will miss both Tests against Bangladesh.
Fast bowler Alzarri Joseph has also been ruled out following a routine medical assessment and consultation with a specialist. All-rounder Keemo Paul has replaced him in the squad.
Opener John Campbell has returned after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the home series against Pakistan.
Roston Chase will captain the side, while left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican will serve as his deputy.
The squad also features experienced fast bowler Kemar Roach alongside Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales. Warrican and Joshua Bishop will lead the spin attack.
West Indies have largely kept faith with the squad that defeated Sri Lanka and drew with Pakistan earlier this year.
The first Test against Bangladesh will begin at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on October 28. The second and final Test will start in Sylhet on November 5.
West Indies Test squad: Roston Chase (captain), Jomel Warrican (vice-captain), Joshua Bishop, John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Joshua Da Silva, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Amir Jangoo, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales and Kevin Wickham.
