Netflix has secured the rights to broadcast all 104 matches of the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra, expanding its coverage of major sporting events.

The streaming platform confirmed the agreement on Tuesday. It will show every match of the tournament to viewers in Spain.

Spain will host the 2030 World Cup alongside Portugal and Morocco. The first three matches will take place in South America.

Despite Netflix holding the exclusive rights, fans will still be able to watch several matches on free television. Under the agreement, one match per day will air on public television. All matches involving Spain, the reigning world champions, will also be available for free.

The semifinals and final will also be shown on free television. Netflix has not revealed how much it paid for the broadcasting rights. Spanish broadcaster RTVE paid $61.6 million for the rights to the 2026 World Cup.

The latest agreement further strengthens Netflix’s partnership with FIFA. The company already holds the broadcasting rights for the 2027 and 2031 Women’s World Cups in the United States and Canada.

Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria welcomed the agreement and expressed excitement about bringing the tournament to Spanish fans.

“For Spanish football fans, welcoming the world as reigning champions on Netflix will make this a moment unlike any other,” Bajaria said.

Netflix has increased its investment in live sports in recent years. Its coverage already includes selected NFL and MLB matches, WWE events, boxing and mixed martial arts. The 2030 World Cup deal marks another major step in the company’s expansion into live sports broadcasting.
