Actress Azmeri Haque Badhan has received widespread love and support from people at home and abroad after she was allegedly harassed and physically assaulted in Venice, Italy. She has expressed gratitude to everyone who stood by her during the difficult time.

In a Facebook post, Badhan thanked her fans and well-wishers for their support. She also expressed gratitude to the Almighty, writing, “Allah has been very kind to me. Alhamdulillah.”

The actress also acknowledged the support she received from the governments of Bangladesh and Italy following the incident.

“I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement I received from the Bangladesh government and the Italian government. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood by me and supported me throughout this journey,” Badhan wrote.

Badhan said the love and support from her fans and people across Bangladesh had left her emotional. She said their positive response made her feel blessed and deeply grateful.

She ended her message by asking everyone to keep her in their prayers.

Badhan travelled to Italy to attend the screening of director Rubaiyat Hossain’s The Difficult Bride at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. She has alleged that some miscreants harassed and physically assaulted her while she was at a local park with her brother and members of his family on Monday night.

Following the incident, the Bangladesh Embassy and local authorities extended support to the actress. Many people in Bangladesh and abroad also protested the incident and expressed solidarity with her.
