Auto-rickshaw drivers in Dhaka have been staging demonstrations, demanding permission to operate on the city’s major roads.
The protesters have also blocked several roads in the city. The blockade stretches from Bishwaroad to Bashundhara, Natunbazar, Badda, Rampura, and Malibagh.
Due to the blockade, vehicular movement has come to a halt in these areas, our correspondent reports.
Although police vehicles are present, they have so far been unable to resolve the situation till fling this report at 12:30pm.
