Popular Kolkata-based singer-songwriter Anupam Roy is set to return to Dhaka for another live performance. The widely admired artist from both sides of Bengal will perform in the capital on June 26 alongside his full band.
The concert, titled ‘On True Sound,’ is being organised by Triple Time Communication, which has already launched promotional campaigns for the event on social media.
Organisers said Roy will be performing with his complete band lineup this time, adding to the excitement among fans in Dhaka following the announcement of the concert.
Roy last visited Dhaka on February 1, 2024, to perform at an program marking the 49th founding anniversary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Prior to that, he took part in the ‘Magical Night’ concert organised by Triple Time Communication in July 2023, where both his performance and videos of him strolling through Dhaka streets drew significant attention online.
The singer has often spoken warmly about his connection with Bangladesh. In an earlier interview, Roy said he starts packing his bags for Bangladesh whenever he receives an invitation, crediting the affection of local audiences for drawing him back repeatedly.
Organisers said details regarding the concert venue and ticket sales will be announced soon.
