A new drama about a child’s longing for a mother’s affection has touched audiences, with many viewers saying the story left them in tears.
Directed by Rubel Hasan and written by Mesbah Uddin Suman, ‘Apon Por’ centres on the emotional struggle of a child who grows up without his mother’s love and spends years searching for that sense of belonging.
CMV released the drama on its YouTube channel on 15 September. It has since crossed 8.6 million views, with more than 80,000 viewers giving it a like. Nearly 3,500 comments have also appeared under the video.

The drama follows Rifat, who loses his mother when he is young. He later grows up with a stepmother but continues to crave the affection and acceptance he never received from her.
