Popular actress Shabnoor has remembered late film star Salman Shah on his 55th birth anniversary, looking back on their work together during the golden era of Bangladeshi cinema in the 1990s.

In an emotional social media post on Saturday, 19 September, Shabnoor wished the actor on his birthday and recalled the memories they created while working together.

Shabnoor described Salman Shah as more than a successful actor. She remembered him as a kind and caring person who treated everyone around him with respect.

According to the actress, Salman regularly looked after members of the shooting crew and offered support whenever someone needed help.

She also said memories of Salman sometimes return unexpectedly. An old song or a scene from one of his films can make her feel as though the actor has briefly returned to those memorable days.

Shabnoor prayed for Salman Shah’s forgiveness and asked Allah to grant him the highest place in heaven.

She also made an appeal to the public to protect the late actor’s memory. She urged people not to spread false allegations or make insulting and disrespectful comments about him.

The actress called on fans to continue remembering Salman Shah with love, dignity and respect.

Born Shahriar Chowdhury Emon in Sylhet on 19 September 1971, Salman Shah became one of the biggest stars of Bangladeshi cinema during the 1990s. He died in 1996 at the age of 25.
