A farewell ceremony for outgoing students, a thesis defence, and the “Tree Plantation Programme-2026” were held at the Lalmonirhat campus of AAUB on Thursday.
The event marked the farewell of the second batch of students from the Avionics Department and the third batch from the Aerospace Department, reads a press release.
AAUB Vice Chancellor Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, attended the ceremony alongside deans, senior officials, heads of departments, teachers, and students.
Addressing the gathering, the VC highlighted the significance of specialised knowledge and skills in aerospace and avionics for the development of the national economy. He provided necessary guidelines to the outgoing students, advising them to invest the knowledge acquired at the university for the welfare of the nation and the country.
The VC also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education, the Bangladesh Air Force, and the University Grants Commission for their roles in approving the university’s budget.
He thanked them for initiating timely and effective steps to ensure the successful conduct of academic activities and the establishment of specialised laboratories.
Following the formal proceedings, the Tree Plantation Programme-2026 was inaugurated in front of the university’s Gangchil Residential Building. The Vice Chancellor, officials, and teachers participated spontaneously in the inaugural planting.
