The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for the year 2025 will be published on 16 October.
According to a notification from the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations under Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh education boards, along with the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, will be published at 10am on 16 October.
The results will be available through the official websites of all education boards, at respective examination centres, educational institutions, and via SMS.
Prof SM Kamal Uddin Haider, exam controller of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee, also confirmed the matter to a media on Monday.
All necessary preparations have been completed, and the Ministry of Education has given final approval to release the results on 16 October, he added.
Students and institutions can access the results through the official website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd. Educational institutions may download detailed result sheets by entering their respective EIIN (Educational Institute Identification Number) in the ‘Result Corner’ of their board’s website.
Students can also check their results via SMS by sending a message to the designated short-code 16222. However, results will not be available at education board offices, the Ministry of Education, or newspaper offices.
Students wishing to apply for a re-evaluation of their results can submit applications between 17 and 23 October through the official platform: https://rescrutinu.eduboardresult.gov.bd. Detailed instructions regarding the process will be announced on the respective education boards’ websites and through newspaper notices.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on 26 June and concluded on 19 August, although some exams were delayed due to unavoidable circumstances. As per regulations, results must be released within 60 days of the end of the written exams.
A total of 12,51,111 candidates registered under the 11 education boards, including 6,18,015 male and 6,33,096 female students. Exams were held across 2,797 centres nationwide.
However, approximately 27,000 students did not appear for the exams, leaving over 12 lakh candidates awaiting their results.
