Education and primary and mass education minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon made a surprise visit to six printing presses in Dhaka early Tuesday to inspect the quality of textbook printing for the new academic year.
The six presses are Mousumi Offset Press, Faiza Printing Press, Shaily Printers, Barnashikha Offset Printers, Sonali Web Printers and National Printers, said the ministry’s public relations officer Asif Ahmed.
During the inspections, he observed the ongoing textbook printing activities and reviewed the actual progress of work at the presses. He also held discussions with officials and workers involved in the printing process.
The minister checked the quality of printed books and assessed the overall progress of textbook production. He stressed maintaining the required standards throughout the printing process to ensure students receive quality textbooks on time.
He also issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials and printing authorities to ensure the quality of textbooks remains uncompromised.
