The National Consensus Commission will soon submit its final report to the interim government, according to the Commission’s Vice-Chairman, Professor Ali Riaz.

On Sunday morning, a meeting of the National Consensus Commission was held at the residence of the Chief Adviser in Jamuna, chaired by Chief Adviser and Commission President Muhammad Yunus. During the hour-long meeting, Ali Riaz commented on the submission of the final report.

The meeting also informed the attendees about the positions of political parties on the contents of the July Charter and its proposed implementation methods, along with the Commission’s stance on these matters.

Chief Adviser Yunus expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Commission’s work. He thanked all the members of the Commission and instructed them to inform him of the final progress as soon as possible.

Ali Riaz also mentioned, “The National Consensus Commission has received extensive cooperation from all political parties, and the media has provided unprecedented support to the Commission.”

The meeting was attended by Commission members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Iftekharuzzaman, Badiul Alam Majumdar, Md Ayub Mia, and the Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Monir Haider.

Interim government advisers Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, Asif Nazirul, and Adilur Rahman Khan were also present at the meeting.
