Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for VisionQuest, bringing Paul Bettany back as Vision and James Spader as the villain Ultron in the latest chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The eight-episode Disney+ series continues the story that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.
It follows Vision as he struggles to understand his identity after being rebuilt and escaping those who sought to use him as a weapon.
The trailer reveals that Vision has been living in hiding while searching for a new purpose.
His quiet existence comes to an end when a bounty is placed on his head, forcing him to flee alongside Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious young man with a possible connection to Vision’s family.
Thomas has regained memories of his previous life as Tommy Maximoff, one of Wanda Maximoff’s sons. As the story unfolds, Vision must confront questions about his past and his relationship with the young man.
The trailer also features several artificial intelligence programmes embedded in Vision’s system, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H. and J.A.R.V.I.S. However, the return of Ultron, voiced by Spader, presents a major threat.
The former Avengers enemy appears to be manipulating Vision and attempting to complete his original mission.
Todd Stashwick joins the series as Paladin, a mercenary who hunts Vision after the bounty is announced.
The cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd, alongside James D’Arcy, T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire, Orla Brady and Diane Morgan.
Created for television by Terry Matalas, VisionQuest will conclude the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.
The series will premiere on Disney+ on 14 October, 2026, with its first two episodes. The remaining episodes will follow a staggered release schedule, with the finale set for 11 November.
