Water Resources Minister and BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee has said the people reject those who seek to create social unrest by misinterpreting Islam, adding that the development work carried out during the government’s first six months in office is unprecedented.

He made these remarks while attending an introductory meeting of the Mohila Dal in the Charshahi Titarkandi area of Chandraganj Upazila on Thursday afternoon.

“Can a political party’s only job be holding rallies and processions forever? They must work for the country’s development, social progress, and religious well-being as well. We must work to curb the misinterpretations of religion and the spread of misleading information in society,” said Anee addressing party leaders and activists.
