Midland Bank PLC has recently launched Bangla QR services at selected retail merchant locations across Bangladesh. The service enables customers to make payments by scanning a merchant’s QR code using compatible mobile banking applications and digital payment platforms, reducing reliance on cash.
The bank’s MD Imtiaz U Ahmed inaugurated the service, joined by senior officials of the bank, said a press release on Sunday.
Midland Bank Deputy Managing Director and CRO Md Zahid Hossain and Deputy Managing Director and CTO Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar attended, along with other senior officials at the event.
