Model and actress Alongkar Chowdhury is set to appear in a new look in the music video for Hawa Hawa, directed by Shubhra Mehraj.
Alongkar has acted in more than 100 dramas and modelled in around 50 music videos. Known for her work on television and in music videos, she is now preparing for the release of her latest project.
Shooting for the music video wrapped up at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) two days ago. The song is sung by Milon and Dola, with lyrics by Salahuddin Sagar and music composed by Akram Khan.
Alongkar said viewers would see her in a completely different look in Hawa Hawa. Two music videos featuring her have already been released: Pakhire, sung by Haimanti Rakshit, and Milon’s Premer Somadhi.
Both productions presented her in distinctive ways, and she hopes to bring something new to the screen once again.
Expressing her excitement about the project, Alongkar said she had been part of almost all the quality music videos being made in Bangladesh.
“It’s a great achievement for me. Two new music videos featuring me were released over the past two weeks: Haimanti Didi’s Pakhire and Milon Bhai’s Premer Somadhi. Both songs have attracted considerable attention, and naturally, I have also been receiving some attention. That is an achievement for me,” she said.
Alongkar said the love of audiences and the trust of directors continued to inspire her work.
“I am constantly amazed by the love I receive from viewers. They have always inspired me, and I am also working to reinvent myself. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to those who consider me for their music video projects,” she said.
Speaking about her ambitions, Alongkar said she had always wanted to reach the highest level in whatever work she pursued.
She added that she felt most comfortable working as a model in music videos and was pleased with the position she had established in the field over the past few years.
She is now looking forward to the release of Hawa Hawa, which she believes will present her in a fresh avatar.
Alongside music videos, Alongkar continues to work in television dramas. She is expected to appear in the sequel to director Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s drama AI Bou in the coming days.
