Bangladeshi filmmaker Raihan Rafi is set to present his latest film ‘Pressure Cooker’ at the London Bengali Film Festival, where it will have its UK premiere on Wednesday evening.

The screening marks the film’s introduction to an international audience, with festival organisers highlighting its contemporary narrative approach and distinct production style as key reasons behind its selection.

Rafi has travelled to London to attend the event, describing the invitation as a significant milestone for the project. He noted that films of this nature often resonate strongly within festival circuits, even as Pressure Cooker continues its theatrical run in Bangladesh.

The London Bengali Film Festival is widely regarded as a prominent platform for Bengali-language cinema, showcasing curated works from both Bangladesh and India each year to audiences in the UK.

Following its domestic release during Eid, the film has begun expanding its global footprint. It has already opened in Australia and is expected to reach North American screens in the coming weeks.

Produced by Impress Telefilm, Pressure Cooker cast includes Nazifa Tushi, Shabnam Bubli, Snigdha Chowdhury, Maria Shanto, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Chanchal Chowdhury in key roles.
