The Eid release ‘Domm’ is set to expand beyond multiplexes, with a nationwide rollout in single-screen cinemas from Friday, April 24.

The film was initially limited to multiplexes due to concerns over piracy. However, producers SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Ltd. and Chorki have now confirmed a wider release across more than 50 theatres.

Directed by Redoan Rony, the film will be screened in a number of single-screen venues, including Madhumita and Shyamoli in Dhaka, Sena Auditorium in Savar, Shapla in Rangpur, Chayabani in Mymensingh, Rupkotha in Pabna, Abhiruchi in Barisal, Barsha in Joydevpur, Nandita in Sylhet and Manihar in Jessore, according to producer Shahriar Shakil.

Domm has also been released internationally, with screenings in Australia, the US and Canada. In North America, the number of theatres showing the film has reportedly increased significantly within a week, while it opened in eight cinemas in Canada.

The cast includes Afran Nisho, Puja Cherry, Chanchal Chowdhury, Abul Hayat, Dolly Johur and Zahid Hasan.

Carrying the tagline ‘Until the Last Breath’, Domm’s screenplay has been developed by Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al-Amin Hasan Nirjhar, Md Saifullah Riad and Robiul Alam Robi, alongside the director.
