After its Eid-Ul-Fitr release, Bonolota Express quickly became a talking point, drawing strong audience interest. That interest is now clearly reflected in ticket sales as well. According to the production house, more than 100,000 moviegoers purchased tickets to watch the film within its first 18 days.

Such transparent reporting of audience numbers is still rare in Bangla cinema. However, since the film was released exclusively in multiplexes across the country, accurate ticket data has been available. The director and producers see this milestone as a direct reflection of audience appreciation.

Speaking of the story, director Tanim Noor explains that just as a train connects one end of the country to another, the Bonolota Express weaves scattered human stories into a single thread. Like the different lives found in each compartment of a train, the film captures diverse emotions such as relationships, memories and humanity, bringing together the essence of Bangladesh in one shared journey.

Noor said that the biggest reward is simply that people are watching the film. In his words, “We make films for the audience, and this love from them is our biggest motivation.”
