The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced its candidates for the upcoming elections in five city corporations across the country, including the two in the capital.
NCP Convener Nahid Islam made the announcement during a press conference held on Sunday night at the party’s temporary office in Banglamotor.
For the Dhaka North City Corporation, the party has nominated the party’s Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb. NCP Spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has been granted the party’s nomination to contest the Dhaka South City Corporation polls.
In other regions, Md Mobashwer Ali, the Convener of Rajshahi City unit, has been named the candidate for the Rajshahi City Corporation. For the Sylhet City Corporation, the party has selected Advocate Abdur Rahman Afzal, who serves as the Convener of Sylhet City NCP.
Additionally, Advocate Tarikul Islam, the convener of National Jubo Shakti, has been nominated to contest for the Cumilla City Corporation.
