With ‘Dhurandhar 2’, starring Ranveer Singh, continuing its strong box office run, speculation about a third instalment has surged online. Social media buzzed after an unverified clip claiming to show the end-credit slate for ‘Dhurandhar 3: The Mayhem’ circulated, suggesting a June release. The clip has since been confirmed as fake.
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra addressed the rumours in an interview with Zoom, saying, “Nothing like that is going to happen. There are a lot of rumours.” He added that any verified news would be shared on his social media platform, X (Twitter).
Chhabra also spoke about working with Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun on Dhurandhar 2, praising Ranveer as a hardworking actor who has impressed since his early days in films such as ‘Lootera’ and ‘83’.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 was released on March 19 and follows Ranveer’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, in the Karachi underworld while exploring his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
The film also stars Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. It has collected over ₹500 crore net in India and ₹850 crore worldwide, receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
