Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has emerged as a major box office success, crossing $174 million worldwide by its third weekend.
The Aditya Dhar-directed spy-action sequel has also made history as the first Indian film to earn more than $25 million in North America and over €1 million in Germany.
The film has collected around $132 million in India alone, while its international performance continues to set new benchmarks. In North America, it has surpassed the previous record held by ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in the region. It has also become the top-performing Indian title in Germany.
Strong audience demand has sustained the film’s run, with more than 80 per cent of overseas screens retaining it into its second week. It has been released across approximately 3,000 screens in international markets, including several non-traditional territories.
The sequel has already overtaken the lifetime overseas earnings of its predecessor within just 10 days. It now ranks among the top-grossing Indian films globally, behind titles such as ‘Dangal’, ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.
Directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh in a dual role alongside R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun.
The film has been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
