Love, misunderstandings and wounded pride shape the stories of four couples in ‘Cafe Umbrella’, an upcoming web film written and directed by Shihab Shaheen.
The film explores the emotional challenges of modern relationships, tracing how affection and intimacy can give way to conflict when expectations clash.
Each couple follows a different path, offering a distinct perspective on love and its complications.
Produced by Impress Telefilm under the Lux banner, the film will premiere soon on the OTT platform iScreen.
‘Cafe Umbrella’ also marks the acting debut of Bidushi Bornita, Najah Nawar and Amina Islam, the top three winners of ‘Lux Superstar 2025’.
They appear alongside Tawsif Mahbub, Partha Sheikh and Arefin Zillani, among other performers.
Shaheen believes the film’s storytelling and the chemistry among its four pairs will offer viewers a fresh experience.
Through its interconnected romantic narratives, the project seeks to portray the varied emotions, expectations and misunderstandings that shape relationships.
The film also introduces three emerging performers to screen audiences, bringing together a new generation of talent and established actors in an ensemble romantic drama.
