Hollywood star Jason Momoa has praised Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, describing him as “a better actor and better performer” than himself.
The ‘Aquaman’ actor, who is promoting his upcoming film ‘The Wrecking Crew’ alongside Dave Bautista, spoke about the mutual admiration he shares with Shah Rukh Khan.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Momoa said, “He is very handsome and an absolute sweetheart. He was a true gentleman when we met, and it was clear there was mutual respect. He is a better actor and better performer than I am.”
Momoa first met Shah Rukh at Saudi Arabia’s Joy Awards in 2019, where they appeared alongside Jackie Chan and Jean-Claude Van Damme. The panel, titled The Joy Makers of Films, explored the global entertainment industry and honoured Shah Rukh with a tribute highlighting his iconic performances. A photograph of the four stars went viral following the event.
Jason Momoa, who began his career in 1999 with ‘Baywatch: Hawaii’ and gained fame as Khal Drogo in ‘Game of Thrones’, has since starred in ‘Aquaman’, ‘Dune’, ‘Fast X’ and several television series including ‘See’ and ‘Frontier’. He is set to return as Lobo in the upcoming ‘Supergirl’ film, part of James Gunn’s revived DC Universe.
Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, is preparing for his next release, ‘King’, which marks his return to cinema after three years. The action-adventure film, directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, alongside Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat and Raghav Juyal. Rumours suggest veteran stars such as Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff may also feature.
