Sajid was rescued on Thursday night after a 32-hour long operation. He was quickly taken to the local health center, where doctors declared him dead.

After a prolonged effort by fire service personnel, the child was retrieved from nearly 50 feet deep in the ground at around 9pm.

When Sajid’s body was brought back to the house, the scene became heartbreaking. The air was heavy with the sobs of family members, relatives, and neighbors.

After the funeral prayers, he was laid to rest in a local cemetery near the house.

Earlier, at around 1pm on Wednesday, Sajid fell into the deep well while walking with his mother. The well had been covered with straw, and last year, a local person had dug it for installing a water pump.

However, since water had filled the well, it had been abandoned, and it was into this unsecured hole that Sajid fell, losing his life.
