A total of 826 judges have been promoted to the posts of District Judge, Additional District Judge, and Joint District Judge. Separate notifications regarding the promotions and postings were issued by the Ministry of Law on Wednesday, by order of the President.
Among them, 250 individuals have been promoted from Additional District Judge to District Judge, 294 from Joint District Judge to Additional District Judge, and 282 from Senior Assistant Judge to Joint District Judge. The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary (Administration-1) of the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, AFM Golzar Rahman.
The notifications stated that these judges are requested, by order, to hand over the charges of their current posts to the nominated officer-in-charge of the office by 27 November and join their promoted workplaces by 1 December.
Furthermore, officers who are on training, maternity leave, or leave abroad have been instructed to join their promoted workplaces immediately after completing their training or leave and handing over the charges at their current post.
