Netflix has unveiled the first image of Lady Gaga in Wednesday Season 2, confirming her role as Rosaline Rotwood, a Nevermore Academy teacher.
The striking portrait shows the 14-time Grammy winner, with Thing perched on her shoulder, icy platinum curls, bleached brows and dramatic makeup.
The cameo will coincide with Gaga’s debut of a new track for the show, ‘The Dead Dance’, when the second part of Season 2 premiers today.
Fans quickly flooded social media with praise. “MOTHER HAS ARRIVED,” one wrote, while another predicted an Emmy for her performance.
The reveal comes just days before Gaga returns to the MTV VMAs stage for the first time in five years. She joins a star-studded lineup including Doja Cat, Mariah Carey, Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone and J Balvin at the September 7 show in New York.
Gaga last performed at the VMAs in 2020 alongside Ariana Grande on their hit ‘Rain On Me’.
This year, she is also expected to be a major contender for multiple awards.
