The results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination have been published, with 10,644 candidates qualifying for the next stage.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) released the results on Sunday night. The preliminary test was held on 19 September at 256 educational institutions across eight divisional cities, with 374,747 applicants sitting for the exam.

According to the 47th BCS circular, there are 3,487 cadre posts and 201 non-cadre posts, bringing the total number of available positions to 3,688. Several new posts have also been added this year.
Previously, the PSC published the results of the 46th BCS preliminary test just 13 days after the exam. That test was held on 26 April 2024, and results were announced on 9 May.
