A total of 375 new dengue cases were reported in the country in the 24 hours till Thursday morning, taking the total number of cases to 16, 281 this year.
According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of deaths stands at 60, as no new fatalities were reported during this period.
Of the new cases, 116 were admitted to the hospitals in Barisal Division, 42 in Chittagong Division, 53 in Rajshahi, 37 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 39 in Dhaka South City Corporation.
However, some 1,213 dengue patients are now receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people.
