Three more children have died with measles-related symptoms in the past 24 hours till Friday morning, raising the death toll from measles and related complications to 750 since 15 March, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the data, 128 new cases of confirmed measles were detected in the last 24 hours, while another 901 people were found to have symptoms associated with the disease.
Since 15 March, a total of 109,899 people have been reported with measles-related symptoms, according to the health authorities.
Of them, 92,831 patients have been admitted to hospitals, while 89,234 have recovered and been discharged, the DGHS data showed.
The outbreak has prompted health authorities to continue monitoring the situation and strengthen measures to contain the spread of the disease across the country.
