At least three people were killed and five others injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway in Feni early Sunday, while a separate bus accident in Bandarban left at least 20 passengers injured.

In Feni, the accident occurred around 3:45am in the Rampur area when multiple vehicles, including buses, an ambulance, and a motorcycle, were involved in a crash , police said.

Officer-in-Charge Asadul Islam of Mahipal Highway Police Station said ongoing repair work on a bridge slowed traffic in the Chattogram-bound lane. A slow-moving ambulance crossing a speed breaker was struck from behind by a bus operated by Shyamoli Paribahan.

An argument between the drivers caused a traffic jam involving a motorcycle and other buses. Shortly afterward, a speeding bus from Doel Paribahan collided with the congestion, triggering a deadly pile-up.

The victims included a motorcyclist, a bus supervisor, and a passenger. Their bodies are currently at Feni Sadar Hospital morgue, while authorities work to confirm their identities.
