Senior Warrant Officer Tofazzal Hossain of the Bangladesh Army, along with members of the armed forces and RAB, were present during the operation.
The operation was conducted by a mobile court formed with officials from the district administration, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the army.
Additional District Magistrate and mobile court judge Ishtiaq Ahmed led the drive.
According to mobile court sources, the drive was launched following confidential information provided by the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) that a large quantity of fuel had been hoarded at the chairman’s house and warehouse.
During the operation, the team recovered six barrels containing 1,200 litres of diesel stored illegally. They also recovered 16 empty barrels from the site.

He added that such drives will continue across the district to protect public interest and maintain market stability.
