During the enquiry, it was learnt from secret sources that Anwarul Islam and his wife were attempting to flee abroad.

It was said in the application that if they fled abroad, there was an apprehension that the enquiry into the allegations would be prolonged and disrupted.

For this reason, an application was made to impose a ban on their leaving the country until the enquiry is completed.

Following the hearing on the ACC’s application, the court issued the order banning them from leaving the country.
