Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said on Tuesday that there are no concerns regarding the upcoming 13th national election, as the largest-ever deployment of law enforcement personnel in the country’s history has been made.

He emphasised, “No apprehension exists, as the highest number of law enforcers has been deployed,” while addressing the media after a views exchange meeting with local officials, police, and other law enforcement agencies.

Responding to another question, he mentioned that the meeting had discussed strategies to address any potential violence leading up to the election.

Chowdhury expressed satisfaction with the election preparations in the Faridpur region, highlighting that nearly all polling stations are under CCTV surveillance. Drone monitoring will also be employed.

“With the combined efforts of law enforcement, local administration, and all concerned, the election in the Faridpur region will be free, fair, credible, peaceful, and festive,” he concluded, urging full cooperation from all to ensure a smooth electoral process.
