Kim Kardashian says she spent five years single after her divorce from Kanye West, using the time to heal, focus on her children and work on herself. But her “single” era was hardly free of romance rumours.
According to PEOPLE, Kardashian, 45, told The Sunday Times Style magazine, published on 4 October, that she was “really single for five years”. “I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself,” she said, adding that she felt no rush or emptiness.
Kim Kardashian finalized her divorce from Kanye West on November 29, 2022, after filing for divorce on February 19, 2021.
The timeline, however, is less straightforward than the word “single” suggests.
First came comedian Pete Davidson. Kardashian began spending time with the Saturday Night Live star after hosting the show in October 2021. Their romance quickly became public, and the pair dated for nine months before splitting in August 2022. Their relationship also became entangled in Kanye West’s highly public attacks on Davidson.
Then came Tom Brady. Although that one remained firmly in rumour territory. In 2023, Kardashian and the retired NFL star fuelled dating speculation after being seen together at several events. But Entertainment Tonight reported at the time that sources described them as “just friends”. Michael Rubin, whose White Party helped spark the speculation, also dismissed the romance reports.
Next was NFL star Odell Beckham Jr Kardashian and Beckham were first romantically linked in 2023 and were subsequently spotted together at several high-profile events. PEOPLE reported that the pair had been “hanging out”, while later reports suggested the relationship became more serious before fizzling out by April 2024. Neither Kardashian nor Beckham officially confirmed the romance.
Then came Lewis Hamilton. The pair were first linked in February 2026 and were subsequently spotted together in Tokyo, London and at the Monaco Grand Prix. In April, Hamilton effectively confirmed their relationship by posting a video of Kardashian riding with him in his Ferrari F40 in Tokyo, making the romance Instagram-official.
The relationship has since become increasingly difficult to dismiss as mere speculation. Kardashian and Hamilton were seen kissing at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opening in Los Angeles on 19 September.
Yet when asked about Hamilton in her latest interview, Kardashian still kept things guarded, replying: “In the most respectful way, I’d probably rather not.”
