Meanwhile, arrangements have been made to accord Tarique Rahman a reception at the 300-feet road in Purbachal after his return to the country. The stage for the reception has already been built.
Party leaders and activists have been gathering in the capital Dhaka from across the country since Tuesday night to greet Tarique Rahman.
After inspecting the stage built in Purbachal on Wednesday night, BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas said it is not possible to estimate how many people will attend Tarique Rahman’s reception.
He remarked that it is being organised on a very large scale, beyond imagination.
