Lady Gaga’s recent absence from the public eye has sparked speculation that the singer may have quietly married her fiancé, Michael Polansky.
An article recently published by several news outlets, including the Daily Mail and People, claimed that people in Gaga’s close circle have struggled to contact her.
One source reportedly said, “No one has seen or heard anything from Lady Gaga.”
The singer’s unusually low profile has fuelled rumours that she and Polansky may have chosen to hold a private wedding away from the attention of paparazzi.
Gaga, who has spent much of her career under intense public scrutiny, has made few public appearances in recent months.
Her Mayhem Ball tour ended in April after months of performances, travel and promotion for her Mayhem era. The final concert took place at Madison Square Garden in New York on 13 April.
During the show, Gaga appeared ready to move into a new chapter of her life. “I love you all so much. I can’t believe this is my last show,” she told the audience before thanking her fans for their continued support.
She later skipped the 2026 Met Gala, despite being a regular attraction on the fashion event’s red carpet. Her most recent major public appearance was at the New York premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in April.
Gaga did appear at the Los Angeles wedding of her longtime manager Bobby Campbell and Robert García in July. However, sources said she deliberately kept a low profile at the ceremony and did not perform at the reception.
The latest speculation has also drawn attention to comments Gaga herself made earlier this year.
In March, while sending a message to Bruno Mars during his Romantic Radio livestream, she revealed that her wedding was approaching.
“My fiancé and I have been travelling all year, but we’re getting married soon,” Gaga said at the time.
A private ceremony would not necessarily be surprising, as the singer has previously suggested that she does not envision her wedding as an extravagant public event.
Gaga and Polansky first attracted widespread attention as a couple in early 2020.
After around five years together, Polansky proposed in April 2024 following a mountain-climbing trip.
Gaga confirmed their engagement publicly when she referred to Polansky as her “fiancé” during a conversation with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Paris Olympics in July 2024.
The couple have generally kept their relationship private, although Polansky has accompanied Gaga to several major events. Gaga has also described herself as “very happy” in the relationship.
At the 2026 Grammy Awards, she continued to wear her engagement ring while walking the red carpet.
There has been no confirmation that Gaga and Polansky have married.
For now, the singer’s absence from the spotlight and her earlier comments about an upcoming wedding continue to fuel speculation about whether the couple has already tied the knot in private.
