Country-rock star Zach Bryan made a statement through his concert attire when he took the stage at Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium wearing a ‘Free Palestine’ T-shirt on Friday.
The first of his two scheduled shows at the venue saw drummer Nate Head wear a jersey bearing the name Hind Rajab and the number five, while guitarist Noah Le Gros sported a Palestine football jersey.
Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl, was reported killed in Gaza in January 2024 after becoming trapped in a vehicle.
Bryan’s appearance came weeks after rapper Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour following his pro-Palestinian remarks, including a ‘Free Palestine’ statement at Gillette Stadium.
The gesture drew mixed reactions online. A statement circulating on X that claimed to defend Bryan’s stance was also traced to a fake account and was not genuine.
