Lebanese singer Nada Dandash has died in a road accident, according to reports. The crash took place on Saturday, 3 October, although details surrounding the incident have not been disclosed.
News of her death has left fans and people in her hometown of Hermel mourning. Social media users have been sharing footage from her concerts, television appearances and musical performances in tribute to the singer.
Known as the “Daughter of the Orontes”, Dandash built a following by combining traditional Arabic tarab with contemporary pop sounds.
She gained wider recognition after appearing on LBCI’s ‘Al Masrah’ in May 2024. During the programme, she performed ‘Mashwar Al Hayat’, a popular song by late Lebanese singer Nihat Tarabe.
