Legendary Bangladeshi rock band Warfaze has announced the postponement of its planned nationwide concert tour and gala show in Bangladesh, citing the country’s current situation and difficulties in securing necessary permissions.
In an official statement addressed to fans issued via the band’s official Facebook profile, the band said its ‘Forty Years Legacy Concert Tour’ has already been successfully staged internationally, with performances held in the US in 2024, Australia in early 2025 and Canada between September and October.
According to the statement, the Bangladesh leg of the tour was originally scheduled to begin towards the end of October this year. The band said discussions had been finalised with several event management agencies, while preparations were also underway for a gala concert planned for January. Several artists had expressed interest in participating and sponsors were reportedly enthusiastic about the project.
However, the band noted that ongoing challenges in the country over the past few months have made it impossible to move forward with the concerts. They said required permissions are not currently being granted, and many events have faced last-minute postponements or cancellations.
“Considering these circumstances and the associated risks, we believe it is neither feasible nor appropriate at this time to proceed with the Legacy Concert Tour or the gala concert,” the statement said.
Warfaze expressed hope that if conditions improve towards the end of next year, the band will reassess the situation and make a renewed effort to organise the concerts in Bangladesh.
The band apologised to fans for the disappointment and thanked them for their continued support, adding that the decision was made with careful consideration of the present realities.
