Voting has commenced in Chattogram in a festive atmosphere, with long queues of voters observed at polling centres even before the scheduled start.
This scene was particularly evident at two centres in the Chittagong–4 (Sitakunda–Akbarshah) constituency.
Although polling was officially scheduled to begin at 7:30 am, voters began arriving at the centres at dawn. Separate lines for male and female voters were formed well before the centres opened.

At the Firozshah Girls’ School centre, a large number of voters were seen waiting in line. This centre has a total of 4,565 voters, including 2,284 men and 2,281 women.
Presiding Officer Md Saifullah Munir stated that all preparations for voting were complete and the overall situation remained peaceful.
Voters expressed significant enthusiasm about participating in the election. Kamrul Alam, who came to cast his ballot, said he was excited to have the opportunity to vote after a long time. Ehsanul Hakim, a first-time voter, shared similar feelings of excitement.
Kulsum Begum, who arrived at the centre around 5:00 am, expressed her joy at being able to vote after many years. Her companion, Sayera Begum, also shared her delight at the opportunity to exercise her right to vote.
