Voter turnout in the six parliamentary constituencies of Rajshahi stood at 46.16% as of 2pm on Thursday.
District Election Officer Md Motawakkil Rahman confirmed the figures to the media, stating that polling has been proceeding peacefully across all centres since voting began at 7:30 am.
According to the district election office, a total of 31 candidates are contesting for the six seats.
The total number of registered voters in the district is 2,291,201, comprising 1,152,508 women, 1,138,637 men, and 28 third-gender individuals.
Voting is taking place at 777 centres across nine upazilas and the metropolitan area, with various law enforcement agencies deployed to ensure a peaceful election. Polling is scheduled to continue until 4:30 pm.
