United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has partnered with Mastercard to strengthen cross-border remittance services to Bangladesh through Mastercard’s Transaction Services.
This collaboration aims to provide faster, safer, and more accessible remittance options for Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), marking a significant step in expanding Bangladesh’s international financial network.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday at UCB’s head office. Representing UCB were Additional Managing Director Adnan Masud and Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer Md Abdullah Al Mamoon.
Mastercard was represented by Senior Vice President Suraj Vaghani and Country Manager for Bangladesh Syed Mohammad Kamal.
Adnan Masud said, “This partnership enhances UCB’s digital infrastructure, ensuring more secure and timely remittance services for millions of Bangladeshis abroad.”
