Sirajganj Sadar police have arrested three drug dealers with 43 kilograms of cannabis. A pickup van was also seized at the time.
They were arrested early Saturday from the Kaddar Mor area on the western side of the Jamuna Bridge highway in Sirajganj Sadar upazila.
The detainees are Rezaul Karim of Chandangati area in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj, Mamun Mia of Bhurungamari area in Kurigram, and Masud Rana of Noyabari area.
Sirajganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Mohammad Hafizur Rahman said the recovered cannabis has an estimated market value of Tk 22 lakh.
He said a team from Sadar police station conducted the operation in the area early in the morning, led by Additional Superintendent of Police Nazran Rauf, during which the drug dealers were arrested.
