A second batch of 22 Bangladeshi students departed for Pakistan Thursday, bringing the total number of students leaving under the Second Phase of the Pakistan Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor (Allama Iqbal Scholarships Program) to 64.
Another 42 students had left on Wednesday.
Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider was present at Shahjalal Airport in Dhaka to see the students off.
The students will pursue Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD degrees at leading universities in Pakistan.
They described the scholarship programme as a valuable opportunity to realise their academic aspirations and thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for the opportunity to receive fully funded quality education, said a press release.
